Abstract
The occurance of toxemia during the first trimester of pregnancy is exceptional. When it does occur it is usually associated with a hydatidiform mole. Hydatidiform mole occurs in approximately one of 2,000 pregnancies, and is associated with symptoms of toxemia in 10 to 40 percent of cases.¢¥. Concurrent eclampsia, however, is very infrequent. Because of ?the relative rarity of this condition the following case is reported.
